Meet the team behind Zibiru: Mauro Piludu (General Manager), Luigi Calcagno (Executive Chef)

Located in Seminyak, Bali, Zibiru is a purveyor of traditional, regional Italian cuisine from Executive Chef Luigi Calcagno.

Since opening its doors in August 2012, Zibiru has garnered a strong loyal following with its made-from-scratch regional Italian cuisine. There is a bit of everything for everyone, from food enthusiasts to wine lovers, soul and jazz music fans to romantics looking for intimate dining and low conversation. Adorned with authentic details exuding old Bali charm, our space revives the romance of the past with its whitewashed facade, hand-carved wooden interiors and handmade furnishings. This homey, convivial feeling is one you get throughout the open air space the minute you step through our doors. It is a unique meeting point for the five senses, providing a little oasis from the noise and activity in Seminyak.

Bottega Italiana Bali

Zibiru's gourmet marketplace aims to satisfy any appetite with a variety of Italian specialty foods. Bottega Italiana Bali showcases the best of what Italy has to offer (all homemade by Zibiru) using premium, organic ingredients. From fresh pastas and traditional sauces, to panini (vegetarian/vegan options also available), cured meats, wine and cheese, each dish represents different regions of Italy from the north to the south.

Each of the four locations in Bali is named after an herb found in Italian cooking. Basilico (basil), the flagship in Seminyak, offers a wider selection of hard to find products not available at the other locations such as a wider selection of Italian wines, salumi and cheese. Rosmarina (rosemary) in Canggu, Timo (thyme) on Petitenget, and the soon to open Origano (oregano) in Berawa offer locals and tourists alike convenient access to this Italian goodness.

From 4-6pm, Bottega Italiana offers traditional Italian-style aperitivo at Timo on Petitenget. Please visit Bottega Italiana Bali for more information.

So relax more, and let our family cook for yours. Whether at one of our locations or in the comforts of your villa, our selection of premium dishes and products will bring the taste of Italy to you.

Bacaro Pizza

a new concept in traditional Italian dining is coming to berawa!

Introducing Bacaro, a destination where you can experience two quintessentially cultural traditions from the Veneto (Venice) and Campania (Naples) regions of Italy.

From Venice, we bring you the timeless pastime of bàcari, an after-work tradition that has locals and tourists alike enjoying a combination of cicchetti (the Italian version of tapas) and ombra de vin (wine umbrellas) in special locales peppered throughout the floating city. The word bàcaro is said to come from several sources: 1) Bacco, the god of wine, 2) far bàcara, a Venetian expression for celebrate, and 3) baccano, which means mess/party/noise. With this in mind, we aim to recreate this bustling atmosphere in Berawa.

In neighboring Naples, one single food has garnered so much attention worldwide that it’s also included on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage—pizza. We mastered the craft of making true Neapolitan pizza using premium ingredients from Bali and Italy—authentic in making and traditional in taste, respecting time-honored traditions.

Experience these two uniquely Italian traditions at Bacaro
